What terms would CBL need??
CBL terms are very simple – mainly the terms consist of a flat % based discount off RRP:
Terms – Required discount and credit terms will be agreed on a case-by-case basis. CBL must be lodged with Nielsen as the Trade Distributor for at least the United Kingdom for a minimum 12 months term.
When do you pay me for sales made?
All stock is held on a consignment basis and CBL will provide monthly/quarterly statements of sales and other management information. Invoicing will be against net sales achieved each month/quarter and within the credit terms agreed.
How long would setup take?
If you’re ready we are – we can often setup within a week.
What other services can CBL provide?
Website Fulfilment (CDF) & Website Integration – CBL provides one of the most competitive CDF (Customer Direct Fulfilment) services in the industry – With rates starting from £0.50 per item service fee and opportunities for this to be fully automated. Orders can be placed 24/7 via email, FTP, EDI, tradacoms – alternatively API integrations are available on request. Learn more.
OTO (Only to Order) Stock Management – Of particular interest to non-UK based publishers, CBL can record backorders for particular titles not deemed popular enough to hold UK stocks of and forward these onto the publisher weekly/biweekly for shipment to us. This allows publishers to have their full range on sale in Europe without needing to store copies of every title here.
What our service includes:
Automated client sales & stock reports – Up to date records of sales sent automatically via email, EDI or FTP.
24hr dispatch – Most goods dispatched within 24 hours of order receipt.
One CDF (Customer Direct Fulfilment) service fee – From £0.50 per item – This fee includes picking, packaging & a branded dispatch label, more options available on request. Additional items charged from only £0.10 per extra item.
Sales support - We have a dedicated sales and account management team dealing with both book trade & specialist sales. From the major wholesalers, online and bricks & mortar retailers, training houses, businesses, educational establishments and specialist retailers, i.e. zoos.
Warehousing – From limited stockholding to 50 pallets+ CBL hold stock in our UK distribution centre.
Customer services staff on hand – Fully trained staff available to assist with any issues or special requests such as needing stock for an event or author signing.
